Volunteering at the Region of Waterloo Museums

The Region of Waterloo Museums (Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum, Schneider Haus National Historic Site, and McDougall Cottage Historic Site) are currently seeking enthusiastic and dynamic volunteers who enjoy working with the public for our upcoming season.

Applying for a Volunteer Opportunity
  1. Review the position description to ensure the opportunity matches your skills, interests and availability.
  2. Review the qualifications, due to high level of interaction with the public, many of our positions require customer service and presentation skills or specialized skills.

  4. Complete and submit the volunteer application indicating your position preference. Please do not apply with a general application as we will not be able to place you at this time.

Our Screening and Selection Process
  • We appreciate everyone's interest in volunteering; however, we have a responsibility to take reasonable measures to ensure volunteer engagement is safe and appropriate.
  • Applications will be reviewed to ensure there is a good match between the volunteer's interests, skills and availability and the position requirements.
  • We will contact individuals and invite them to an interview based on the match between the volunteer's interests, skills and availability and available positions.
  • Applicants are required to provide two references.
