Parking

Parking at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is quick and easy - and best of all, it's free! Please note that parking is limited. We encourage you to consider carpooling, especially during peak hours/events, to help with parking capacity and the environment.

Public Transit

Grand River Transit provides frequent bus service within walking distance of the museum, connecting to ION light rail, seven days a week.

From Fairway Station, take Route 10 Pioneer to the Manitou/Cayuga stop (#1705). As you get off the bus, walk toward the traffic lights at Homer Watson Boulevard and cross Manitou Drive. A new trail runs from here to the museum, which is maintained in winter. The trail is shared with cyclists.

From Block Line Station, take Route 201 iXpress towards Conestoga College to the Homer Watson/Doon Village stop (#1859). As you get off the bus, walk back to the traffic lights at Manitou Drive and cross Homer Watson Boulevard to access the trail and reach the museum. The trail is shared with cyclists.

Accessibility

Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is accessible for visitors with disabilities. Please ask for a Guide to Visitors with Disabilities to learn about all of the museum's services.

Most of the historic buildings in Doon Heritage Village are accessible, although our compacted gravel pathways and roadways may pose a barrier for some. All-terrain wheelchairs are available, free of charge, at the admissions desk (subject to availability).

When visiting the living history village, we recommend that individuals with manual, non-motorized wheelchairs have someone available to push/help with their wheelchair. Please note that the width of some door openings inside the historic buildings may limit access for people with motorized scooters and wheelchairs; door widths are itemized in the museum's Guide to Visitors with Disabilities.

The Christie Theatre is equipped with an assistive listening system. Ask at the admissions desk for a receiver.

For some people with disabilities, it is necessary to have someone's help in order to participate in recreation and leisure activities. The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum honours PAL cards - the Personal Attendant for Leisure card - and Access 2 Entertainment cards.
